LA TRINIDAD, Benguet—A provincial board member has proposed that Pinoy Got Talent finalist Ingrid Payaket be chosen as the Ambassadress of Goodwill for the Province of Benguet and the Cordilleras.
Provincial Board Member Nelson Dangwa in his proposed resolution numbered 10-111 said Payaket whose parents hail from Kabayan, Benguet and Besao, Mt. Province became a singing sensation the Province of Benguet became proud of following her inspiring performance in a show sponsored by a major television network.
Payaket’s exemplary performance showcased the wealth of talent the Province of Benguet has, which was made more notable when she made it as one of the twelve finalist out of a total of 4,000 aspirants who originally auditioned for the said competition, Dangwa said. Payaket, according to Dangwa who is now under contract with the television company has brought honor and glory for the province and deserves this august body’s accolades and designation as ambassadress of good will. As ambassadress of goodwill, Payaket will be granted special civic roles which aside from promoting unity, camaraderie and peace, and as well to inspire leadership among the youth and spearhead the promotion of government programs, Dangwa stressed. Payeket, after the talent search has been busy appearing in various activities in both the City of Baguio and the Province of Benguet.—larry madarang
