LAGAWE, Ifugao - In an effort to curb criminality, the Provincial Police Office (PPO) launched its operations to arrest all wanted persons resulting to the capture of the Top Most Wanted Person in the province.


Police Senior Supt Joseph Adnol said that Romeo Paud , 60 of Barangay Boliwong here accused of rape was arrested by members of the PPO Intelligence Group. Paud was included in the list of Top Most Wanted Persons provincewide in 2007 and was recommended to a higher level of Most Wanted Person for reward, he said.

Adnol also disclosed that the offense was validated as Top Most Wanted Persons (TMWP) because of the gravity of the offense. Paud allegedly raped a 14 year old girl who sometime in 2006.

Documents obtained from the PPO revealed that Paud is elusive and went on hiding in the provinces of Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya and Isabela. According to reports, he is being harbored by his relatives whenever he comes home for a visit.

With proper coordination with the Municipal Police Station of Aglipay in Quirino, Police Senior Inspector Esteban Dulnuan, the Intelligence Officer and PSI Pablito Hoggang and other PNP units were able to arrest Paud at Sitio Pullakan, Barangay San Miguel in Aglipay, Quirino Province.

Paud is placed under custodial investigation by the PPO. #Vency D. Bulayungan/PIA-Ifugao
